About Me
- Name: Meow (aka Connie)
- Location: Victoria, Australia
I am a (mostly) stay-at-home mum of one daughter, with perhaps too much time on my hands ... I am obsessed with my computer and my Ipad, and am always on the lookout for more things that I can do with them! A few years ago I discovered digital photography, so that continues to be a passion. I am a mega cat-lover. I have spent time in my past-life writing poetry, so that is something I wish to get back into. I am an obsessive reader, who usually has a few books on the go. I have also become obsessed with Scrapbooking ... another thing I can do with all the photos I take ... and recently, I have also become obsessed with Quilting !! Blogging is a much-loved passion ... it is so much fun !!! Facebook seems to be taking up too much of my time these days, too !!

Love your decorative painting, Meow. Your cats are lovely! Well done!
Thank you, Sonia. I love cats (as if that wasn't obvious !!), and am enjoying trying to paint them. They are all so different, and cute. Take care, Meow
I just finished looking at all your art work ,
Meow , you have talent! seriously, you can paint the pics of the cats are wonderful , I am green again with envy and not just my eyes! what beautiful work you do , I will never show mine as it looks like a kindergarden student did mine :( love it ,all of it especially the cat with the mouse sandwich is so cute and your coasters are exceptional!
Jealous greeneyes
Thank you, Greeneyes ... what a compliment !! Most of the painting (excepting the coasters) are all done from a pattern ... you trace on the picture, and colour it in, basically (although using different brushes and strokes and techniques). I guess you have to learn all the different techniques !! The ceramic painting was basically the same, just painting over the precast ceramic.
Thank you so much for taking the time to look at it all.
Take care, Meow
It's so beautiful! The cat is ssoooo realistic, as if he sticks his head out of the wall. I like it!
Marina ... thank you so much. I'm hoping the next 3 I do look just as good. Thank you for visiting my blog, too. I will drop by and visit yours, too.
you are very talented!! are you naturally talented or have you hade training??
Aunt Josefina ... thank you so much. The only training I've had is the various classes I've attended over the years ... nothing formal, though. Most of my painting is sort of like colouring in between the lines (the decorative painting has patterns, where you just use different brush strokes to get the look you want) ... I really want to learn from scratch ... that is my aim. Although, the cat coasters are basically from scratch, all I have is a head outline, and a photo.
Thanks again, take care, Meow
